Family, friends remembering victims of mobile home fire

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The mobile home fire that killed three children, all under the age of 3, has investigators still trying to figure out what happened.

The tragedy has left family members with many unanswered questions.

The fire consumed two trailer homes Friday morning, with three children and two adults inside. The adults made it out, the children did not.

The fire happened at Van's Trailer Oasis, near Las Vegas Boulevard.

On Monday, a memorial of stuffed animals, toys and flowers were placed outside the mobile homes, in remembrance of the three kids who died.

Family members told Action News a boy, his father, his father's girlfriend and her two kids lived in one of the trailers.

Officials said both parents were asleep at the time of the fire, but were able to get out safely.

Now, it's a waiting game for the family, who hope knowing what happened on Friday, will bring them closure.

One anonymous person has offered to pay for the childrens' funerals, and the family says they are extremely grateful for that.

The family also plans on setting up a donation fund for any extra costs.
