Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A standoff ended peacefully this morning after police officers entered a residence and found a man hiding in the trunk of a car.

The incident took place in the 10000 block of Muscari Way, near South Valley View Boulevard and Somerset Hills Avenue.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the situation began at 10:45 p.m. last night.

A woman contacted a friend and told that person that she needed money to "get out of the situation that she was in."

The woman was able to escape the home safely but a man barricaded himself inside the residence and refused to come out.

At about 7:45 a.m. this morning, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's SWAT entered the house and found the man hiding in the trunk of a car in the garage.

The police arrested the man on outstanding warrants. However, it is also expected that he will now face additional charges which may include pandering and coercion by force.

Action News will update this story if new information becomes available.
