Abused woman admits to strangling boyfriend
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A Henderson man was found strangled to death on Thursday and police say his girlfriend may have committed the act in self-defense.
The investigation began when the 35-year-old woman went to an emergency room at a local hospital and told a nurse she had just killed her boyfriend.
Police went to their home, in the 100 block of Judy Lane, where they found David J. Hudson strangled to death.
The woman is cooperating with police and told them she choked Hudson with a cord after he attacked and beat her.
Hudson has a prior record of domestic battery, burglary and drug charges. He was last arrested on January 27, accused of punching the same woman in the face and threatening to kill her.
The woman has not been arrested and is not facing any charges yet. Police say her case will be forwarded to the District Attorney's office to determine whether she will be charged.
Her name has not been released.
