Parents concerned about intersection near Canarelli Middle School
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Parents are concerned about the intersection near Canarelli Middle School after a student was hit by a car last Friday night.
Parents tell Action News the intersection of Robindale and Torrey Pines Drive is dangerous. Parents say there should at least be a 4-way stop but they'd like to see better crosswalk devices or a stop light installed.
A student was hit by a car on Friday, April 20 around 8 p.m. after leaving a school dance. The driver of the car was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
We're told the young victim was hospitalized for multiple days because of her injury.
Canarelli Middle School is fundraising in order to help the girl's family out financially.
Clark County says their Department of Public Works will inspect the intersection to determine if more changes need to be made.
Clark County says they've had at least six complaints about that intersection in this past week.
