Fatal crash shuts down part of I-15 north of Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Southbound lanes of Interstate 15 are reopened after a fatal crash shut down the interstate north of Las Vegas on Friday evening.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said a gold Chevrolet Blazer, registed in Utah, overturned at mile marker 102 near Moapa, after hitting the center median and ejecting six of the vehicle's seven occupants. One passenger was trapped inside the Blazer.
The victims of the single-car crash were airlifted, prompting authorities to shut down the southbound lanes of I-15. One of the ejected victims was pronounced dead, the six others were critically injured.
