CREATED Apr. 17, 2012

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The driver in a hit-and-run crash has stepped forward after striking a woman on Boulder Highway, the Nevada Highway Patrol tells Action News.

The crash killed 59-year-old Gloria Cruz-Morga in front of Boulder Station Casino early Monday morning.

Authorities said they interviewed the 84-year-old driver and examined his car on Tuesday. He told troopers he did not realize he hit a pedestrian. He said he felt something hit and shatter his windshield, but didn't see anything when he stopped, so he drove home.

The 84-year-old man said he learned about what happened from the news later on, and then stepped forward.

The woman who was killed was not in a crosswalk.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says the driver will not face charges.
