Local program donates Easter baskets to kids in need
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- An Easter tradition is working to put smiles on thousands of childrens' faces this weekend.
"There are up to 7,000 and maybe even more homeless and at-risk, under privileged children here," Barbara Kenig, founder of E-Bunny said. "We have a huge percentage of children in need here."
So the 22-year-old all volunteer organization E-Bunny is working to put a smile on our local childrens' faces this weekend by delivering to them their very own Easter basket.
What started as a small project in Detroit has grown to a yearly tradition in Las Vegas.
This year, more than 2500 children will get Easter baskets with help from donations from local businesses large and small.
"My experience here over the last 12 years is that Vegas is a very giving community," Kenig said. "They want to be a part of something that matters."
