Friend of mom accused of killing 6-year-old speaks
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The mother who is accused of killing her daughter with a pair of scissors appeared before a judge on Thursday, and had at least one friend there to show support.
"She saw me and just broke down because she never thought that I would see her in this position," says Gad Miles, a friend of Danielle Slaughter's. "I never thought I would see her in this position."
Prosecutors asked for more time to prepare, delaying the preliminary hearing to April 26.
Danielle Slaughter is accused of killing her six-year-old daughter on March 11. Slaughter was found near her house without clothes and with blood on her hands.
Slaughter has told police that she felt an evil presence in her house in the days leading up to the her daughter's death and that her daughter was "laughing at her in an evil voice."
