Bike trip honors fallen Metro Officer Henry Prendes
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - A fallen Metro officer is being honored by a man who is taking his actions to the streets. Monday, Bob Votruba is riding 100 miles on a bike as a way to remember Sergeant Henry Prendes, who was killed in the line of duty about six years ago.
Votruba is the founder of One Million Acts of Kindness. He spends his time traveling around talking to people about who our real heroes are. His mission to honor anyone we should all look up to.
"You need to salute these people. We need to honor these people and not forget. Have an ever present mindset of what people are doing for us, so we can live our lives," said Bob Votruba.
In 2006, Metro Sergeant Henry Prendes was murdered after responding to a domestic disturbance in the Southwest. The gunman was later killed during a shootout with other officers.
