Coroner IDs motorcyclist killed in crash in Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities in Las Vegas have identified a 22-year-old motorcyclist killed in a two-vehicle crash that left two other people hurt.
The Clark County coroner said Wednesday that Daniel Nathan Vogel died of multiple injuries in the crash a little after 7:30 p.m. Monday in northwest Las Vegas.
Police say 24-year-old Eric Blount of North Las Vegas was a passenger on Vogel's 2006 Honda CBR 600RR. Blount was hospitalized in serious condition at University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Police say the motorcycle was driving at high speeds when it slammed into the side of a 2003 Ford pickup truck making a left turn from Ann Road to Rio Vista Street.
Investigators say the driver of the pickup, 41-year-old Lana Loebig, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
