Police seeking gun dealer who sold illegal weapons to customers
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are seeking a gun dealer who sold an illegally possessed machine gun to an unsuspecting victim in 2009.
Kelly Carn, age 54, was indicted by the Clark County Grand Jury on felony charges of Theft and Unlawful Possession of a Machine Gun.
Carn is the owner of The Gun Vault, Inc., a federal firearms licensee.
Carn preyed upon people unfamiliar with the process of obtaining federal approval to possess a machine gun. He would take money from his victims and promise to submit the necessary paperwork to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
On various occasions, Carn would never follow through on his promise to submit the proper documents.
Anyone who believes that they may be a victim of Carn or who has any information is asked to call the LVMPD Firearms Investigations Section at 702-828-2953 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
