Lion habitat closing at MGM Grand
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The lion habitat at MGM Grand will be closing permanently on January 31.
The company said the closure is a part of a $160 million property-wide renovation.
The 20 lions featured in the exhibit will be returning to the Cat House, a 8.5 acre ranch outside of Las Vegas, where they live with trainer and habitat designer Keith Evans.
MGM Grand has not said what will be replacing the area were the habitat stands now.
