Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority predicts 314,000 people will celebrate New Year's Eve in Las Vegas this year.
That's up 5,000 people from last year.
Hotel occupancy is expected to be around 98 percent, and non-gaming revenue is projected to be around $193 million.
New Year's Eve falls on a Saturday this year, making the trip to Las Vegas more feasible for many tourists.
Fireworks at midnight will be lit off from Tropicana Las Vegas, MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, The Venetian and Stratosphere from south to north.
The show will feature music from Salsoul Orchestra, LMFAO, Lady Gaga, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, Adele and ZZ Top.
Organizers say the fireworks show will last 8 minutes and 36 seconds and feature more than 56,400 effects on the Las Vegas Strip.
