Slain teen to be featured in Rose Parade as organ donor
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A local teen killed at a house party nearly three years ago, will have his face featured on a float during the annual Tournament of Roses Parade.
Aric Brill is being honored as an organ donor and will be one of 72 other donors who will be featured on the Donate Life float.
Saturday, his family gathered to complete the flora-graph of Brill, which will ride on the float.
"He made us proud everyday, but he, he took it upon himself to be an organ donor," says mom Karen Brill. "I never thought that I would have to answer that question in the hospital and he took that burden off of me."
Aric Brill was shot in the back of the head
Brill is the first organ donor from Las Vegas to receive the special honor.
The 123rd Rose Parade takes place in Pasadena, CA on January 2nd.
