1 injured, 1 arrested in crash on Tropicana & Rainbow

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A late-night three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard on Wednesday night resulted in one person critically injured and one person under arrest.

According to witness statements, a 2002 BMW X5 driven by Musu Zennah, age 26, was traveling eastbound on Tropicana when it entered the intersection on a red traffic signal and struck a 2000 Toyota Camry driven by Milka Ninkovic, age 37.

The Toyota Camry then crossed over the raised center median of Tropicana Avenue and collided with the rear of a 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Jennifer Leveritt, age 34.

Ninkovic was transported to University Medical Center Trauma Unit with serious injuries and her passenger, Tatjana Vekic, age 36, was transported with critical injuries.

The driver of the 2005 Toyota Camry was uninjured.

The driver of the 2002 BMW X5 claimed to have minor injuries but was transported to the Clark County Detention Center and booked on Felony Driving Under the Influence with Accident Involving Substantial Bodily Injury.

The accident remains under investigation by LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
