Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Complaints about the Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon keep rolling in, and some runners say water at the race made them sick.
The Las Vegas Water District says water flushed from hydrants was tested and safe.
A spokesman points to the way the water was dispensed; handed out in plastic cups scooped from plastic containers, as a possible culprit.
A race volunteer and marathon trainer agrees. Las Vegas in Motion's Tim Kelly told Action News, none of the runners in his club got sick.
Speaking of runners who complained, Kelly said "I don't want to say it's all in their heads. I don't want to say that at all, but it's curious to me that so many people finished the event after drinking that water and managed to walk through the parking lot with a bright smile and infectious sense of good humor and go on with life."
Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak told Action News he's heard positive and negative feedback about the race. He's going to meet with race organizers in two weeks to discuss problems with this year's Rock 'n' Roll marathon and find ways to fix them for next year.
