Metro identifies officers involved in Walmart shooting

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metro Police Department has identified the officers involved in Friday's shooting at a local Walmart.

The department says Michael Ramirez was was the officer was shot by Marc Hull. Ramirez was shot in the arm and in the chest. Witnesses said his bullet-proof vest may have saved his life.

Ramirez, 36, has been with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department since January 2006.

The other officers involved were John Abel, Corey Staheli and Beaumont Hopson.

The department said all of the officers are currently assigned to the Enterprise Area Command Patrol Division.
