Truck driver in southern Nevada cocaine bust indicted
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The truck driver involved in a massive cocaine bust on Interstate 15 was indicted on Friday.
Gaston Danjou was indicted on felony charges for trafficking cocaine and transporting a controlled substance at the Clark County District Court.
The drug bust was made on August 10 when the Nevada Highway Patrol pulled over a semi-truck on I-15 near Jean at about 12:30 a.m.
Danjou allowed NHP officers to search his truck, where about 452 pounds of cocaine with a street worth of about $16.4 million was uncovered.
Officials said it was one of the largest cocaine busts in Nevada history, and Governor Brian Sandoval released a statement commending the authorities involved.
