Liquidation.com sets up shop in North Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV)- Barbecues, Bluray players, computers and couches. It's an E-Bayer's dream tucked inside a North Las Vegas warehouse.
Liquidation.Com, an online surplus sale store, has taken over a 150,000 square foot space and stuffed it full of stuff that couldn't sell elsewhere, and a lot of it's brand new.
But why is this national auction house setting up shop in North Las Vegas?
"We were in Southern California and found it was much more adventitious to be here in Las Vegas for tax purposes and a variety of reasons," said VP of Liquidation.com, Rob Caskey.
This is their 4th warehouse nationwide, but the first West location. They've hired nearly 50 people, with more jobs to come this Fall.
With an influx of buyers constantly looking for the best deal, auction houses like Liquidation.Com are flourishing and North Las Vegas is reaping the benefits.
"We have anywhere from $2 to $3 million in product moving out of this warehouse in any given month," said Caskey.
"Those purchases obviously fuel the local economy and job creation that comes with that," he said.
The city has been happy with the new business growth in North Las Vegas.
Earlier this month Mayor Shari Buck told Action News, although it's slow going, It's nice to see the steady business continue to come in.
You can only bid on and buy items through the Liquidation.com website. But buyers can arrange for a pick up directly from the warehouse.
