Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A bicycle lays quiet on Trailwood Drive while its 12-year-old rider is in critical condition at University Medical Center.
Sgt. Richard Strader said, "The boy was transported to the hospital with critical head injuries and his family is with him now, and we're all hoping he will be okay."
Las Vegas police said a little after 5 p.m. Saturday, the young boy failed to stop at a stop sign at Delaney Creek in Summerlin. A woman traveling with another adult and young child in a rented Chevy Malibu was heading east on Trailwood. She struck the boy. He then hit the windshield.
