Mesquite, NV (KTNV) -- The Nevada Highway Patrol was called to a fatal crash Sunday morning.
It happened on I-15 northbound at mile marker 99, around 7:30 a.m.
NHP said a Toyota SUV rolled into the center median. They said the vehicle, driven by a 43-year-old female, pulled to the shoulder, causing her to steer the other direction, hitting the median.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene.
There were two passengers in the vehicle; a 3-year-old child and another adult.
NHP said the child was not wearing a seat belt and was also ejected from the vehicle. Luckily, the child only had cuts and bruises.
The adult passenger was not hurt but was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
