The stars of ABC's "Nashville" are getting a spin-off, of sorts. A one-hour special spotlighting the songs and songwriters behind the tunes heard on the show each week will be taped at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium March 29 to air on the network next month.

The Tennessean reports that "Nashville: On the Record" will go behind-the-scenes, featuring interviews and performances from the real-life Nashville artists whose songs have been featured on the series, including Ashley Monroe, Striking Matches and Trent Dabbs and Caitlyn Smith, as well as the show's music producer Buddy Miller. "Nashville: On the Record" airs Wednesday, April 23, at 10:00 PM ET on ABC.
