Inside Edge: Carrie, Mike are tabloid target; Eddie Montgomery loses steakhouse; Blake's resolution redux
CREATED Dec. 27, 2013
Star Magazine is running an article that says Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher are going through a rough patch in their marriage. The tabloid, not generally known for its credible reporting, quotes a source described as "close to the couple" as saying Carrie and Mike are "barely speaking to each other." The issue, the source says, is that Carrie is considering more acting roles and Mike is not in favor of it. The source is quoted as saying. "They barely saw each other the last three months" while Carrie rehearsed for her role in 'The Sound Of Music' and it left Mike "feeling neglected and ignored."
Eddie Montgomery's steakhouse in his hometown of Harrodsburg, Ky., will be sold at auction January 10 after a court ordered Eddie and his ex-wife to repay $12.7 million in business loans, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader. The newspaper also reported that Central Bank took possession of some of Eddie’s personal property to satisfy the judgement. Eddie opened his steakhouse in 2009 and announced it's closure in May of this year.
Blake Shelton is ready to make his New Year's resolution. It's the same one he makes every year. Blake admits that he always resolves to clean up his language and drink less, but he can never hold to it for long. Blake also says most people don't know that wife Miranda Lambert often un-follows him on Twitter because of his drunk tweeting.
Kip Moore finally has a house to live in. Kip says he stayed in a dingy, one-room, bug-infested apartment with no hot water while working on his latest album. He told Country Weekly magazine he would be lying in bed when a roach would crawl across his face. So, it's great news that Kip finally broke down and bought a house. He says the new house has inspired him. “I’ve been writing like crazy in it,” he says. His newly completed sophmore album will be released in the new year.
