Country Radio Seminar officials have announced the five performers for the highly anticipated 2014 New Faces of Country Music show, set for Feb. 21, 2014, in Nashville.
Brett Eldredge, Tyler Farr, Cassadee Pope, Thomas Rhett and Charlie Worsham will perform at the annual new artist showcase which closes out the three-day convention, gathering radio and music industry professionals from around the world.
Dinner tickets for the 2014 New Faces show are sold out. Seating-only admission is still available. Registrants will receive seating-only admission to the CRS New Faces of Country Music Show on a first-come, first-serve basis until the seating only area is sold-out.
The five artists were chosen by employees of country radio stations nationwide, and their picks are unsurprising given that radio helped three of the five (Brett, Tyler and Thomas) earn No. 1 singles this year. The performers were selected from among an initial field of nominees that also included Frankie Ballard, Craig Campbell, the Henningsens, Dustin Lynch, Jon Pardi, Parmalee and Eric Paslay.
A performance slot on the New Faces Show has been an early boost for the careers of many future superstars including Reba McEntire and Alabama, who each played the show in 1980, as well as George Strait (1982), Vince Gill (1985), Randy Travis (1986), Brooks & Dunn (1992), and Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Toby Keith, who all played the show in 1994. New Faces has been staged every year since 1970.
