  • My Dad Walter Milton Scott (July 31 1923 - October 31 2011) was a Radio Specialist Operator on a B-17 Bomber during WWII. My Mom Marie Irene Scott (9/23/23 - 6/01/2010) was a War bride from France. They were married May 5th 1945. My Dad's parachute was made into a wedding dress for my Mom. My Dad flew 35 missions over Nazi Germany. Twenty five of them completed and the rest were aborted due to being shot up by flack and enemy fire. During the War My Dads B-17 was forced down by a Faulk Wolf 90 pilot. The Nazi pilot telling them to either land the B-17 safely down below or force being shot down. The pilot of my Dads plane landed down in a corn field below escorted by English Soldiers into a town called Lille, in the North of France near Belgium. This is where my Dad met my mom inside a local tavern and he asked if she would like to be his fianc. My Mom answered Yes! They were married in France. After the War had ended my Mom came to the USA on a hospital ship called the Zebulon Vance. After the War had ended my Dad worked on P-51 Mustang's.

  • Veterans Day at riverside national cemetary 2012

  • This picture was taken in Hawaii around 1937-38. It is of the same group of the proud American Miller family that you showed twice on your newscasts this last Friday Nov 8. Wouldn't it be interesting to show both of these pictures on your newscasts on Veterans Day? After all they did serve more than 88 years in the Navy, Army and Air Force. Thanks, John Miller of Henderson

  • Hi Megan here is a pic of today's 5K Run in Denver Colorado. Shouting out to all the veterans to have a safe blessed VDay. Army pride SFC Hernandez

  • This photo is contributed in hopes it will be shown on Armed Forces Day. The photo is of the Miller family in 1954. CWO Miller was close to his retirement on 30 years in the U.S. Navy. The others are his sons shown in the early years of their careers in the Air Force, Navy and Army. Upon their retirements the Miller family had served more than 88 1/2 years on active duty in the Armed Forces. Thanks, John Miller of Henderson John Miller of Henderson
