Lincoln, NE - The long football drought is finally over, because today is the first day of game week. Nebraska will kick off their season on Saturday against Wyoming.
It's a season full of high expectations, and fans are dreaming of their first conference title in over a decade. However, the Huskers are not getting ahead of themselves. While the fans are looking down the road, Nebraska is focused on the game in front of them.
Wyoming was an abysmal 4-8 last season. They struggled mightily on defense. On paper the game looks about as lopsided as it can be, but Nebraska Head Coach Bo Pelini knows that the "Any Given Saturday" rule still applies. He wants his players to focus on their execution and not get wrapped up in the emotion of opening night.
