Lincoln, NE - The Huskers hosted their annual Spring Game in front of over 60,000 people. Big Red fans filed in to get a glimpse at the 2013 Huskers.
They saw Taylor Martinez look like vintage-Taylor on a 45-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Zimmerer. They saw a more svelt-looking Imani Cross break off a 12-yard touchdown run. They saw Jamal Turner and Kenny Bell each get a few catches. The Husker returning starters looked like returning starters should for the most part.
Husker fans also saw an intriguing battle for the back-up quarterback postion. Both Ron Kellog and Tommy Armstrong Jr. showed good things. Right now Nebraska Head Coach, Bo Pelini, believes that Armstrong has the edge. However, that could change come fall camp.
Husker fans also saw a break-out performance from Alonzo Moore who scored a deep 37-yard touchdown and show good quickness out on the perimeter.
