Knoxville, TN - The Creighton women fell a half short of making history and winning back-to-back NCAA tournament games for the first time ever. The Jays only trailed by six at halftime, and then they made the first bucket of the second half to pull within four points. After that the Lady Vols began to pull away.
Tennessee shot nearly 50% from the field as the cruised to a 68-52 win. The Jays were led in scoring by Alexis Akin-Otiko. She scored 12 points in the loss. And in the end it was Creighton's normally prolific three-point shooting that was their downfall. The Jays shot just 4-22 from long range.
