Public invited to learn more about Omaha annexation plan
OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - A new plan to annex outlying parts of Omaha will be on display for an open house Wednesday evening.
Last week, Mayor Jean Stothert announced the annexation of 13 neighborhoods, four business parks and a golf course.
The plan would impact nearly 9,000 people.
An open house with the mayor is set for 6 p.m. at Burke High School.
The city council is expected to vote on the plan next month. If approved, the changes would take effect in September.
