Scottsbluff, NE - The Waverly High School baseball team was forced to forfeit the American Legion Class B championship game to Hickman-Norris. Police arrested and/or cited six players which left the team with eight players. According to rules, they needed nine.

The Scottsbluff Police Department arrested and/or cited the player for underage drinking. One was arrested for destruction of property. Police say they responded to a woman who reported seeing a guy take a baseball bat to her mailbox. That's when they tracked down the guys and, according to police, found several team members who were drinking alcohol.

A few of the players took to Twitter. One post said, "We made a mistake, and now we have to pay for it, but I couldn't have asked for a better group of guys to spend the summer with #brotherhood."

Another player wrote, "I have an endless amount of respect for all of my teammates no matter what happens. We win together and lose together. Love all you guys."
