Pilger Days schedule includes horseshoes, mud volleyball

PILGER, Neb. (KMTV)  Festivities for Pilger Days begin Friday, even as the village recovers from a tornado that destroyed most of the community.

The Pilger Days festival runs from Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20.

Check out the full schedule below:

Friday:
6:30 p.m. – Horseshoe tournament at Pilger Park

Pilger High School Alumni Banquet

Stanton County Historical Society Museum (before and after the banquet)

Saturday:
9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Children’s story time at Pilger Park

11 a.m. Mud Volleyball tournament

Lunch – At the ball field concession from the Senior Center

4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. – BBQ at Pilger Park, sponsored by Pilger Fire and Rescue. Free will donations will be accepted. Ice cream bars will be provided by Midwest Bank. It will also feature a clown, photo booth, dunking booth and other games.

7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. – “Element” dance and beer garden at the baseball field. Free will donations will be accepted. Lawn chairs are allowed, but no coolers.

Sunday:
9 a.m. – Community church service at Pilger Park

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Stanton County Historical Society Museum
