One Stabbing, One Shooting Overnight
Omaha, NE - A 16-year old is recovering in the hospital after someone shot him early Sunday morning. According to police, around 1:20 Sunday morning, a young man was driving in the area of 19th and Emmett when someone fired shots at him. The victim was stuck by gunfire and went to his parents' house to get help.
The victim is in serious condition at Nebraska Medical Center. He told police he didn't remember what happened, through their investigation; officers found people in another car started shooting at the victim. Shot spotter was activated.
Police are still looking for the suspects.
Also around 1:20 Sunday morning, officers responded to a call about a man trying to enter a home through a window. When officers arrived to the area of 24th and Castelar, they found a 35-year old man with blood on his shirt. The man told police he was trying to gain access to the house where he believed his friend lived.
The man was highly intoxicated and had multiple stab wounds.
He told police he had gotten drunk, received a ride and was stabbed in the car on Woolworth. The man was transported to the hospital.
