Omaha Builders Show Off During Street of Dreams

By Justin Pazera. CREATED Sep 13, 2013

Omaha, NE -- If you can dream it, you can live it and man can you live! This year's Street of Dreams shows off some of the biggest, the best and the most luxurious homes in the metro. Scott Warren is a master at building big. "I think at this price point, especially in all these homes that are on the Street of Dreams, they're at a higher price point of homes so I think that people are expecting quite a bit for that price point," said Warren.

Quite a bit is right. Here, long gone are the cookie cutter houses.  Say hello to big bright and unique. Sallie Elliott owns Inspired Interiors. A $600,000 ranch truly inspired her, and gave her a challenge. "Yes, in fact," said Elliott. "I felt very inspired with this first level and I went downstairs and it's a whole other house - where am I going to get furniture?"

And what's downstairs? An indoor golf simulator and a custom theater but, this isn't out of the ordinary; in fact it's the norm on this street. A $900,000 home sports its own basketball court. But the builders and designers say one thing is in common. "Open floor plans are still big," said Elliott. "Dining rooms are a thing of the past it seems and they all want to be together." And that's what Street of Dreams is really about, bringing everyone together, the builder, the designer and most importantly, the customer.

Here's what you need to know.
