NSP Graduates Newest Batch Of Recruits

Lincoln, NE- (KMTV)   The newest group of Nebraska State Troopers are ready to hit the streets.

The Nebraska State Patrol graduated it's 55th Basic Recruit Class during a ceremony Friday morning at the State Capitol.  Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale administered the oath during the swearing-in ceremony.

The 19 new troopers completed 23 weeks of training at the State Patrol Training Academy in Grand Island. 14 of the troopers have been assigned to traffic in the Field Services Division, the other five are joining the Carrier Enforcement Division. The new troopers will now undergo six months of on the job training with a veteran trooper in the field.
