24-year-old Shawn Stryker was convicted in a crash that killed nine year Ashland Police Department veteran, Dan Ottis.
A judge sentenced Stryker to one year in jail and a $1000 fine for a misdemeanor count of vehicular homicide.
On August 7th, 2012 Stryker's vehicle struck another car that then crashed into the motorcycle 58 year-old Ottis was driving along Highway 6 near Gretna.
