Man Arrested for Punching an OPD Officer

OMAHA - A man is behind bars after he punched an Omaha officer in the face.
Someone flagged down police after they say a man acting erratically in the street punching at the air and lunging at passing cars near 52nd and Underwood late Friday night.
Authorities say when the officers approached the man he lunged at them and punched one in the face.
An officer then tazed the suspect and took him into custody and transported him to the hospital for a suspected drug overdose.
Authorities identified him a 31-year-old Malcolm Harris Jr. Police book him for Felony Assault of an Officer, False Information, Theft by Receiving, and Bond Review.
