Council Bluffs, IA - Trees and plants are taking over a Council Bluffs park and now officials are looking for a big chunk of change to fix it.

Fairmount Park Director Larry Foster is prepping to ask the Council Bluffs city council to give the okay, to see a $200,000 grant to help remove the excess greenery which has crowded Fairmount Park.

Part of Foster's plan includes using wood-chips from the removed trees to create a nature trail in the area.
