Omaha, NE- One of the doctors, whose name is on a letter terminating Dr. Anthony Garcia, is speaking out to Action 3 News. And that letter, some think, could have been an outline of Garcia's targets.
Two of the three people copied on Garcia's letter of termination from Creighton in 2001 were Roger Brumback, MD and William Hunter, MD. The third, M. Roy Wilson, MD. Most recently, Wilson worked in Maryland. He starts as President of Wayne State University, in Michigan next month.
Today Action 3 News spoke with Dr. Wilson by phone. When asked if he was scared his name was on the letter, after the 2008 and 2013 murders, or if he thought he was next, he said no.
"No. I never really thought about it I mean if I thought about every single thing that I signed as a Dean, you know, I'd be a nervous wreck," he said.
"When I heard about that, I really thought to myself that there may be a connection in some way and was hoping that hopefully law enforcement would be able to connect the dots," he added.
Wilson said he does not remember Dr. Anthony Garcia. He adds he has never heard of a terminated resident remotely lashing out in the way Garcia is accused of doing. Wilson said he commends the work of the Omaha police department and the task force that eventually caught the man suspect of the Creighton Killings.
The fourth doctor who signed the letter, Walter O' Donohue, died of natural causes in 2002.
