Two Arrested in Drug Bust Appear in Court

Omaha, NE- On Friday 26-year-old Kevin Wilson and 24-year-old Kellie Wilson appeared in front of a judge after being arrested on Wednesday during a Benson drug raid. 

Prosecutors say Kevin was the big fish they were going after in the large scale drug bust and his wife Kellie was nearly a bystander in the illegal operation.

On Wednesday, state patrol and deputies found a growth operation near 60th and Lake.

Kevin and Kellie Wilson admitted to having illegal drugs and weapons at the property on Lake Street and in their Shirley Ann Apartment. 

DEA agents found 88 marijuana plants, more than $6000 in cash, a pound of pre-packaged marijuana and multiple firearms.

On Friday, we learned Kevin Wilson faces up to 75 years in jail and Kellie Wilson could face up to 50 years. 

Kellie's charges may be less severe if it is proven that she knew of the operation but did not participate. 

The third person arrested in Wednesday's drug bust, 45-year-old Brian Gentry, is no longer listed as an inmate in at the Douglas County Jail.  Kellie and Kevin Wilson have their preliminary hearings set for August 13th at 9 am.
