Civilian Employees at Offutt Air Force Return to Work Monday

Bellevue, NE - 350,000 furloughed civilian workers are headed back to work today. That includes employees of the U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base.
Employees who were on emergency furlough following the government shutdown will report back to work at their regularly scheduled time today.
On Saturday, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel said Pentagon and Department of Justice "attorneys concluded that the law does allow the Department of Defense to eliminate furloughs for employees whose responsibilities contribute to the morale, well-being, capabilities and readiness of service members.
