Omaha, NE - A four page court document reveals intricate details on Anthony Garcia's movements, evidence and matching facts. It also tells us the last time anyone heard or saw Dr. Roger Brumback and his wife Mary.
On their I-pad, Dr. Roger Brumback and his wife Mary would talk with their daughter for the last time. Mother's Day, May 12th. The day police believe Dr. Anthony Garcia murdered the couple.
It's this court document that could help pin two of the most recent double killings on Garcia. In black and white these pages show a link between the Brumback murders this May, and the Dundee double homicide in 2008.
"Investigators found significant similarities in the wound patterns on all 4 victims. Both the Brumback's and Thomas Hunter and Shirlee Sherman had multiple stab wounds to the right side of their necks. The knives used in the attacks, were from inside the home."
Police found Roger and Mary dead inside on Tuesday, May 14th. Only they believe the killer struck on Mother's Day.
Multiple stab wounds to the neck on both victims. The killer also shot Roger Brumback a few times. At the scene, investigators found parts of a handgun, like this one.
A shell casing, a semiautomatic handgun magazine and broken pieces of the handgun.
Detectives also found that Anthony Garcia had purchased that same model of handgun in Terre Haute, Indiana on March 8th of this year.
They say it's consistent with the pieces found at the Brumback murder scene.
