Omaha, NE- It's an annual tradition is wrapping up in downtown Omaha: the college home run derby and fireworks.
More than 24,000 people a sell out crowd, filled TD Ameritrade Park Wednesday night. Organizers changed some things from last year to up the ante for spectators.
"They can use their bats that they normally use, but we are switching to the major league ball instead of the college ball which should help get a couple more balls over the wall," Kim Hillyer with TD Ameritrade said.
The best home run hitters in the country, 8 total, competed in three rounds.
They attempted to knock it out of one of the hardest parks in the country to hit home runs.
Michael Aquino of Rice University won the derby with four home runs in the final round.
