Omaha, NE -- With just days to go until Independence Day, fireworks tents across the city are gearing up for crowds.
The tents are open a total of 10 days.
So far, some are seeing a lot of business, others not so much.
On June 25, tents like the one at 72nd & Dodge Streets opened up for business.
Employee Ben Bukacek said they have been busy, and the crowds picked up this weekend.
He expects business to stay that way through July 4th.
"It's going to get wild soon," said Bukacek. "I mean, getting closer to the 4th, we will probably have four or five cash registers. Right now, we have three, but getting closer to the 4th, we will be packed all the time."
On the other side of that is a tent at 108th & Q Streets.
"This tent is a little bit slower than our West 'O' tents," said employee Pat Tiederman.
Tiedeman said that trend will change in the next few days.
"The Fourth of July is usually the busiest," he said. "We're busy restocking shelves. I'd recommend coming in before then if you're interested in buying fireworks, before we start running out of different products."
The biggest difference between these tents is not who owns them, but where they're located.
"I think the demand is pretty comparable," said Tiedeman. "(It) just depends on the location of the tent, and where people want to buy them."
Location can be a game changer in sales.
"Driving down one of the busiest streets in Omaha, you see this tent," said Bukacek. "It has an easy entrance to it. It's one of the easiest tents to get to around here so it makes it more accessible for people to get here."
If you haven't bought fireworks yet, there is still time. Most tents open around 7:30-8:00 a.m. and close between 10:00-11:00 p.m.
