City of Omaha Opening Debris Drop Off Sites after Storm

CREATED Jun. 24, 2013

Omaha, NE - The City of Omaha announced today they'll open two debris drop off locations to help residents cleaning up from the storm Monday morning.

"There are pockets of damage city-wide," Mayor Jean Stothert said in a statement. She continued, "Our public works and parks employees are clearing trees that are blocking city streets and cleaning up our parks."

One drop off location will be at Tranquility Park at 120th and Maple. The second will be at 11th and Locust.

You can drop off storm debris for free from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

You can also cut your tree limbs and put them in yard waste containers for weekly curbside pickup. For more information on how to properly cut the trees for pickup, you can go to wasteline.org
