Thousands without Power After Morning Storms
OMAHA - A band of thunderstorms knocked out power to thousands of OPPD customers in Douglas and Sarpy Counties Monday morning.
The Omaha Public Power District reports 52,000 customers were without power at one point. You can see how many customers are without power and check out where the outages are on OPPD's outage map.
OPPD Spokeswoman Paula Lukowski says the high winds and heavy rains locked out about a dozen circuits.
She says crews are responding to the outage reports.
