Omaha, NE -- It was a terrifying night for a mother and her two daughters in North Omaha.
"My daughters got hurt, and it should not have happened," said robbery victim Marsha Ourada.
Ourada and her two daughters, Samantha Drake, 17, and Makayla Drake, 20, were watching TV around 2 a.m. Wednesday when the power went out.
The two sisters went to investigate.
"The next thing I hear is screaming," Ourada said. "I tried to get up to see what was happening, and the next thing I know, there were two young men rushing into my apartment with guns."
Dressed in hoodies with bandanas around their faces, the two ordered the three women to sit down. They took TVs and a cell phone.
"My 17-year-old daughter is a gutsy little thing," said Ourada. "She wanted her dad's TV so she went to grab it, and that's when she was shot."
Ourada said the bullet went through Samantha's leg and into Makayla's.
The two men took off.
"I looked down, and my youngest one had blood all over her leg," said Ourada."My other daughter started screaming. I looked down at her and went, 'Oh my God. She got shot too.'"
Both girls will survive.
On Wednesday afternoon, the door where the two men broke in was replaced.
Ourada said after four years of calling that apartment home, it's time for her and her family to move on.
"I want to move," she said. "I don't want to be here anymore. This is too close to home."
The two sisters were released from Nebraska Medical Center Wednesday morning.
There are no suspects in custody.
