Free Fishing Day In Nebraska

CREATED May. 15, 2013

It's time to dust off the fishing pole and get out the lures.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission are waiving fees at all of the state's state parks this Saturday, May 18.

The Free Fishing and Park Entry Day gives people a chance to enjoy fishing or a state park area without needing a fishing or park permit.

The commission will also host Family Fishing Clinics at these locations:

Carter P. Johnson Lake

Fremont Lakes

Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area

Summit Lake

Louisville State Recreation Area

Ponca State Park.

If you don't want to bring your own ... tackle, rods, reels and bait will be available for children to use.
