UPDATE: New Numbers Show Stothert Still In Lead In Mayor's Race
Omaha, NE - The second round of returns show Jean Stothert still in a commanding lead, but not as much as the first round. The latest results give the city councilwoman 57%, or 25,953 votes. Mayor Jim Suttle has 42%, or 19,184 votes. These numbers include today's votes cast between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. and early voting numbers.
According to Joe Jordan of NebraskaWatchdog.org, the vote in heavy-Republican West Omaha is pouring in; in heavy-Democrat North and South Omaha, the vote is trickling in.
