Texas - After a week of searching the nation for a dangerous fugitive, US Marshals catch their shooting suspect. May 4, 12:45 am near Corpus Christi, Texas, the US Marshals apprehended 21-year old Jamal Dean.
Dean was wanted in Sioux City, Iowa as the suspect in an officer involved shooting on April 29. A routine traffic stop led police on a nation wide hunt for Dean after he shot eight bullets into a police cruiser and fled on foot.
The Nebraska US Marshal investigated local leads in Omaha, but did not find Dean in their efforts.
Local US Marshal tell Action 3 News, "The public's assistance helped out tremendously."
