Board President of Bellevue Public Schools announces resignation

Bellevue, NE- The Board of Education president of Bellevue Public Schools has announced she will resign from the board due to family and business obligations.
The resignation of Alicia Richards will go into effect on May 28, 2013. She was elected to the Board of Education in November of 2010 and began serving in January of 2011.
"It has been a privilege to be associated with a school system that is populated by so many outstanding educators, administrators, and support personnel," said Richards.
The school board is scheduled to accept Richards' resignation at the next board meeting on Monday, May 6, 2013.
